INTRODUCTION
LbE Hawaii is seeking leaders to support this program occurring on Oahu. Leaders MUST be available throughout the entirety (start time to end time for the day) of this program in order to participate.
SELECTION
LbE Hawaii will contact selected leaders ASAP. Selected leaders must verify their availability and ability to do the program(s) to be considered to work in the program.
BRIEF ITINERARY
- Holoholo Adventure (scavenger hunt treasure race across Honolulu) Transportation will be done by chartered bus, not a city bus.
- You will be required to prepare a 10-minute presentation about your cultural background (also known as Hale Aloha) Yes, a Laptop is required to present this.
- Lead discussions about the differences between Hawaii and Japan with your group
PROGRAM DATE & TIME
Tuesday, 1/24 - 8 AM ~ 3:30 PM
LOCATION
REPORT 8 am at Ala Moana Hotel
Finish at Waikiki DFS Building
We will be ENDING at a DIFFERENT point compared to the starting point. If you'd like to park in the Ala Moana area in the morning, but would like a ride from the ending point of Waikiki to Ala Moana, please let us know. We will be able to provide you a return-ride to the Ala Moana area at the end of the program. Please note that you may not return to the Ala Moana area until 4PM, in this case. Please prepare your schedules accordingly. Please note that LbE Hawaii will not be responsible for your vehicle and any contents inside. COMPENSATION
- $14.50 / hr (Program duration roughly 7 hours)
- 1 hour for Hale Aloha 10-minute presentation
- 1 hour for orientation
- Lunch up to $15
Requirements
- Eligible to work in the US, Individuals capable of working in the U.S. All registrants will be required to fill out a W9 form.
- Available for the full duration from the beginning to the end of the program.
- Able to arrive on time!! to the reporting location/time
- Available for a mandatory online 1-hour (paid) orientation, Saturday, January 21st, at 3 p.m.
- Young adults who are current or recently graduated college students
- Act as a group leader responsible for 7~8 HS students from Japan
- Speak in English ONLY (no Japanese)
- Support your group in preparing and understanding concepts of the program activities
- Ensure the safety, well-being, and happiness of your group
- Communicate well with the Program Manager / Support Staff using the SLACK APP
- Utilization of the ACTIONBOUND APP for Holoholo Adventure
