About the Event

INTRODUCTION

LbE Hawaii is seeking leaders to support this program occurring on Oahu.  Leaders MUST be available throughout the entirety (start time to end time per day and on the 15th and 17th day) of this program in order to participate. 

 

SELECTION

LbE Hawaii will contact registrants via email ASAP. Selected leaders must verify their availability and ability to do the program(s) to be considered to work in the program. 

 

BRIEF ITINERARY

  • Primarily outdoor/field trips including some of the following:
  • Pearl Harbor
  • Dole Plantation
  • Holoholo Adventure (scavenger hunt treasure race across Honolulu)
  • Beach Cleanup
  • Taro Patch Restoration
  • Bishop Museum
  • Invasive Species Community Service
  • Reflection Project

PROGRAM DATES & TIMES

Sunday, 1/15 - 8AM ~ 5PM

Monday, 1/16 - 8AM ~ 5PM

Tuesday, 1/17 - 8AM ~ 5PM

REPORTING LOCATION

Sunday, 15 TBD

Monday, 16 Waikiki

Tuesday, 17 Waikiki

COMPENSATION

  • $14.50 / hr
  • Lunch
  • Admission to all site visits and activities
  • Chartered bus transportation to all site visits (must provide own transportation to meet up location and return trip home, daily)

Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the US, Individuals capable of working in the U.S. All registrants will be required to fill out a W9 form.
  • Available for the first and third days and for the full duration from beginning to end. Applicants available on the second day will be given first consideration.
  • Able to arrive on time!! to the reporting location/time
  • Available for a mandatory online (paid) orientation (date/time TBA)
  • Young adults who are current or recently graduated college students
  • Act as a group leader responsible for 7~8 JHS/HS students from Japan
  • Speak in English ONLY (no Japanese)
  • Support your group in preparing and understanding concepts of the program activities
  • Ensure the safety, well-being, and happiness of your group
  • Communicate well with the Program Manager / Support Staff using the SLACK APP

REFERRAL BONUS

  • $10.00 GC / referral
  • If you are an existing (or confirmed) LbE Hawaii leader and refer another leader that comes to either Program 1 and/or 2 and completes the program successfully, YOU will receive a $10 gift card of your choice for every leader you refer
  • The referee (the person you refer) must be eligible to join
  • The referee must complete the program
  • The referee must not have done an LbE program in the past
  • You will only receive 1 referral bonus per person regardless if the referee does both programs
