LbE Hawaii Block Cleanup - June 13, 2023

EVENT: LbE's Kaka'ako Block Clean Up

DATE/TIME: Tuesday, June 13, 5PM - 7PM

WHAT TO EXPECT: This is an LbE Hawaii block cleanup event, coordinated and managed by LbE Hawaii! Meeting up at Kaka'ako Waterfront Park, we will cleanup the streets of Kaka'ako. Not only will we help keep our streets clean, we will help prevent harmful debris from going into our city's storm drains, which eventually lead to our ocean, which may harm our marine ecosystem.

CHECK-IN: Meet in the parking lot of the Kaka'ako Waterfront Park and look for LbE Hawaii's tent with check-in table. You must sign-in, grab a city-provided Adopt a Block bag, and may use various supplies such as trash grabbers and gloves. You may leave at any time, however, please place your bag of trash with us at the check-in table before leaving. The check-in table will remain open throughout the duration of the event. 

WHO CAN REGISTER: Open to the public! (Must be 12 years or older to participate. All volunteers must sign a release form. Volunteers 12 ~ 17 years of age must have adequate adult supervision and signed parental/guardian consent)

PURPOSE OF EVENT: We always want to contribute to helping our earth. In this, we are organizing yet another LbE Hawaii Cleanup Event!

THINGS TO BRING:

• Plastic-free water bottle
• Reef safe sunscreen
• Plastic-free Hat
• Plastic-free dark glasses
• Covered shoes

PLEASE DO NOT BRING:

• Alcoholic beverages
• Guests who are not registered
• Plastic (try your best to not bring any single use plastic items to this event)

ATTIRE: Cool clothing and covered shoes.

PARKING: Ample parking at the Kaka'ako Waterfront Park's parking lot. LbE Hawaii is not responsible for theft or damage of your vehicle. Please be responsible in locking your car and not leaving any valuables in your vehicle.
