Learn by Experience
LbE Hawaii is an educational organization, supporting, designing, and operating educational experiences for learners across the state of Hawaiʻi and from all over the world.
Our diverse program themes include: sustainable development, global competency, intercultural communication, cultural exchange, career preparation, leadership, and team work.
Our learners gain new skills such as collaboration, critical thinking, leadership, and essentially become advocates for sustainability - making the world a better place.
We can also customize memorable
experiences based on learning levels, age groups, language capabilities, and interests.
Our Services
PROGRAMS FOR VISITING INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS IN HAWAII
We welcome international elementary~college school groups and provide an immersive experience in Hawaii in small group learning environments lead by our trained local Program Leaders. We're here for you whether it's for a part of your stay, or your entire stay.
EDUCATIONAL SCAVENGER HUNT TEAM BUILDING ADVENTURES
Tours with tour guides, pointing out the obvious are forgettable. In our scavenger hunt programs, our learners become the tour guides where they discover points of interests on their own through competitive missions, trivia, and challenges. What a great team building experience!
ESD CONSULTATION & ONLINE COMMUNITY FOR EDUCATORS
Our sustainability team can support educators in designing, implementing, and/or facilitating ESD-focused curriculum. Educators may also join our online community to network with other educators and collaborate to bring the best ESD experiences to the classroom.
PROGRAMS FOR LOCAL HAWAII & US MAINLAND STUDENTS
Targeted to elementary school students -adult learners across the US, our programs include lectures, hands-on activities, field trips, and group presentations. The program follows the State of Hawaii's Aloha+ Challenge

TESTIMONIALS
I learned that it is important for a leader to think not only about themselves, but also about others around them. Aloha Spirit helped me to be a kind person.
Japanese High School Student
[The LbE Hawaii program] changed my perspective on sustainability showing me how our local communities are trying to become more energy efficient. It was fun to go exploring around the parts of my local city that I have never been [to].
Jayci Takara, Kalani High School Student
[A] major highlight was being able to connect with [non-profits] such as Sustainable Coastlines [Hawaii], who are leading the way within island sustainability spreading awareness about waste reduction and organizing fun beach cleanups. I am so grateful to have been a part of such a meaningful program. Mahalo nui loa LbE Hawaii!
